Nine core workbook checks run across every model type. DCF adds three targeted checks, for twelve base checks. Three-statement adds two, for eleven base checks. Integrated combines both specialized sets, for fourteen base checks.
Cells showing #REF!, #DIV/0!, #VALUE!, and other error values a reviewer would see immediately.
Formulas that point at another workbook. Links like this often break once the file leaves your machine.
Sheets tucked out of view, including ones set to very-hidden, which a reader can't unhide from Excel's normal menu.
NOW(), RAND(), INDIRECT(), OFFSET(), and similar functions. They're flagged so you know they're there, not because using them is wrong.
A cell in a row or column of formulas whose shape doesn't match the pattern around it. Often a copy-paste slip.
A typed-in number inside a formula-driven row or column pattern. Review whether the hardcode is intentional.
Flags a blank cell between formula cells so you can review whether the gap is intentional.
Workbooks with iterative calculation switched on. This usually means there is an intentional circular reference, so it is disclosed for the reader.
Formulas or numbers on visible sheets that sit in rows or columns a reader cannot currently see.
Optional stricter deterministic checks for repeated constants inside formulas, numbers stored as text, percentage scale inconsistencies, and formulas inside numeric input series.
Specialized checks apply only when that model type is selected and the required structure is supported.
Checks the terminal-growth and WACC relationship for supported growing-perpetuity structures.
Checks whether enterprise value matches the discounted forecast plus terminal value in a supported DCF stack.
Checks whether equity value matches enterprise value combined with the local less-net-debt line.
Checks whether identified Total Assets and Total Liabilities and Equity totals match.
Checks selected supported links across the statements, including net income, depreciation, PP&E, inventory, long-term debt, and ending cash.
Honesty is part of the product. Here is exactly where it stops.
It flags risks worth a second look. It does not clear a model.
Those are invisible by design.
No .xls, no .xlsm macros, no .csv, and no Google Sheets links in this version.
Close the tab and everything is gone.
Tripwire DX is a pre-submission quality check, not a review of whether your model is right. You remain responsible for the contents of your model.
